Fellowship - Dinner Club

Are
you looking for a fun
way to get to know
people at Saint Andrews
in a small group
setting? If so,
then this is a fun way
to do it!
How it works:
Everyone
who wants to participate
attends a planning
meeting in September
where we will decide on
the themes (Italian,
church cookbook, etc.)
for each month and
everyone will sign up
for a month in which
they will be a host.
We need about 5 hosts
each month.
When you are the
host:
On the
month that you host, all
the hosts get together
and decide on the menu
and choose who will go
to each house from the
list of who can come
(not everyone comes
every month). As host
you then are responsible
for contacting the
people coming to your
house, assigning a dish
or dishes to each couple
and sending the recipes
to each couple.
When we meet:
We
usually meet the 4th Sat
of the month except for
November and December
when we meet usually the
first or second Sat of
Dec to cover both those
months.
What does it cost?
We
usually get together
again in May as a whole
group. You also come
with an estimate of how
much you spent, average
out the cost and those
that spent more get
money back and those
that spent less, pay
money. It usually
averages about $20-30 a
couple so if you spent
$10 on your item you
would pay the pot $10.
If you spent $25 you
would get $5 from the
pot.
When does the next
group start?
We will
have our organizational
meeting for 2006/2007 on
September 23rd at 7:00
pm. Location details
will be announced soon.
Couples, singles, new
members, and old
members---anyone who is
interested in trying new
and old recipes and
dining in groups of 8,
is invited to attend.
