Contemporary &
Traditional Reformed Worship
Why Reformed?
Within the church, the original meaning of
"reformed" came from "The Church Reformed,"
meaning always being reformed by the Word of
God.
The word "reformed" in our service's title
reflects its foundation, our Presbyterian
heritage. We will continue to emphasize the
centrality of Christ, the authority of
scripture, and our dependence on grace. Our
sermons will remain lectionary-based.
When are Sacraments offered?
Please see our Communion
Schedule.
Baptisms are scheduled through the church office
for the 3rd Sunday of each month. Please contact
Cindy Ingalls,
administrative assistant.
Contemporary Reformed Worship at 8:45am
What makes it Contemporary?
In the Contemporary Reformed service, we are
striving to create a simple, informal service
that involves worshipers through words - both
spoken and sung. The music is generally upbeat
and led by our Praise Team ensemble.
Traditional Reformed Worship at
11am
What makes the service Traditional?
In the Traditional Reformed, the music has great
power to express the greatness of God and our
relationship to Him. The vocal leadership is
provided predominately by our Chancel Choir. In
addition, this service offers a framework for
worship through the ordering of its elements -
confessions, litanies, messages, sacraments.
Through these elements, we are drawn closer to
God.
Healing and Wholeness
On a weekly basis, our prayer
team is available in our Sanctuary for your
prayer needs after the 8:45am and 11:00am
worship services.
On the last Sunday of each month, we offer a
Healing and Wholeness Service in our Sanctuary
after our 11:00am worship service (usually
around 12:15pm). This unique service offers a
time of great spirit and grace. We invite you to
come and be prayed for by Saint Andrews' pastor
and our prayer team or you may ask for prayers
for others who are prominent in your heart and
mind.
If you have any questions about this
once-a-month service or our prayer team, please
contact the church office at 847-1913.
