Missions
For the 2007-2008 traditional school year,
we combined memory verses with an opportunity to
help children in Kenya, through Staff of Hope
Ministries. The details of this program are
below. Check back for next year's program...

Children’s Ministry
Mission Challenge |
Your child will have so much fun
with our mission project for the 2007-08 school
year. What does it involve?
o
Helping each child learn God’s
Word (the
memory verses
are below),
o
Helping congregation members be
involved with the children of SAPC, and
o
Helping those less fortunate by
supporting
Staff of Hope.
We are
challenging the children to memorize selected
Bible verses. In Psalm 119:11, David states, "I
have hidden your word in my heart..." The
Children's Ministry is praying that by learning
these verses, our children will hide God's word
in their hearts AND help the people of East
Africa at the same time.
We are
challenging the congregation to pledge to
support the children. You may pledge a specific
amount per verse or a blanket amount. You may
support a specific child or be assigned a child
within our program. ALL funds collected will be
dedicated to Staff of Hope. The children will
identify how they want the money spent (helping
to fund wells, sponsoring a student, purchasing
livestock).
You may
pick up a Sponsorship Form at church or
email us to
request a form. We hope that you will encourage
the children of SAPC by sponsoring a child as
they memorize verses this year!
