Music & Arts Ministry

Music plays a vital role in the life of Saint Andrews,
both in worship and in building our community of believers.
Talents and gifts of any size are welcome as we grow together in God's love!

The Chancel Choir rehearses in the choir room each Wednesday night from 7-8:30pm during the "traditional" school year. This ensemble, made up of sopranos, altos, tenors and basses, provides musical leadership for our Reformed Traditional Worship Service at 11am. They enjoy a wide diversity of styles of music.  Childcare is offered for Wednesday rehearsals.  They offer large works several times each year.

Contact Karrie Rushing.

The Praise Team rehearses on Wednesdays from 6-7pm. This ensemble is primarily a vocal ensemble accompanied by piano, guitar and drums.  They lead our Reformed Contemporary Worship Service at 8:45am.

They are currently searching for a new Director and pianist.

Contact Sharon Lowman.

The Bells of Saint Andrews is our wonderful adult handbell group!  They rehearse on Monday evening from 7-9pm and generally ring in worship once a month.  Reading musical notation is helpful, but not mandatory.

Contact Nancy Phillips (846-8829).

The Young Ringers are a new bell experience for youth in 4th grade and older. They rehearse on Monday nights from 5:30-6:30pm and will ring occasionally in worship. No previous bell experience is needed.

Contact Erin Glendening or Lisa Phillips.

At this point in time, the Children's Choirs are on hold. We previously met on Wednesday afternoons from 4:30-5:30pm. We are currently searching for a new Director and will continue this ministry when someone is hired.

Contact Sharon Lowman (847-1913).

If you play an instrument and want to get involved, we would be delighted to have you join us in an occasional performance or when special events occur.

Are you stimulated by or gifted in the Visual Arts?  We enjoy hosting exhibits in Saint Andrews’ narthex. Perhaps you have a dramatic flair? Have you always wanted to run a sound board?

If any of these opportunities appeal to you, please contact Sharon Lowman (847-1913).
