Stephen Ministry
Confidential Christian Care

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love
comes from God. Everyone who loves God,
has been born of God and knows God." 1
John 4:11
Our Stephen
Ministry program offers you the opportunity to
work with a Stephen Minister.
A Stephen
Minister is a lay-person who feels called by God
to help others and has received training in
one-on-one confidential listening. If you or
someone you love could use this type of support,
please call Floyd Lowman (847-1913 x100).
How does this
process work?
-
A person,
either you or someone you know, needs
Christian care.
-
Let the
Stephen Ministry Referrals Coordinator
know about your need (see The Process Starts
below).
-
The Referrals
Coordinator meets with the person to talk
about Stephen Ministry and how it can help.
-
With the
person's permission, the Referrals
Coordinator assigns a Stephen Minister to
meet weekly with person in need.
The Process
Starts...
By filling out one
of the blue Stephen Ministry Confidential Care
Request cards (found in each pew) and:
-
Place the
entire card in the offering plate.
-
Hand it to the
pastor or a Stephen Ministry Leader.
-
Place it in
the Stephen Ministry box in the Narthex.
